In some cases, there may be a third party responsible for the damage. To expedite repairs, you are always free to choose your own contractor and seek reimbursement rather than relying on the at-faults insurance carrier to send their own adjuster and contractor or filing your own claim. The emergency board up process begins within an hour of your call and is completed the same day. If fire or water damage is also present, mitigation begins as soon the building has been cleared for entry. Any standing water is extracted, surface cleaning begins, contents are moved to an unaffected area or into storage & all demolition debris is removed. The industry standard drying time is 3-5 days. We monitor equipment & take moisture measurements throughout the process until the area is dry & ready for repairs. If hazardous materials such as mold or asbestos appear to be present or local jurisdictions require approvals first, it may add to the amount of time before work can start.
